… She is so awesome… If you can cheat her into play, that is.

    • Bruce Flanagan

      Kaalia says hi

      • Happy The Cat

Mayael “no! play with me! I’ve got Mage Slayer and Extra Arms!”

  • fullbuster

does she really “deals damage”, no “combat damage” or “to a player” specifics? This makes her way more threathening… even if the cmc is absurdly high :/
I’m afraid humans are having a bad time on Innistrad!

    • nightshade88

That’s the best part of her. XD

Too bad she can be shut down by graveyard removal and any kind of point removal or flyer hate, but if you manage to keep her alive and delirant she is a beast.

    • Happy The Cat

it doesnt say combat or to a player because it’s an 8 drop with the perk behind a clause wall

  • Oscar

I don’t know exactly how easy it will be to turn on Delirium in an average EDH deck (I mean without dedicated self mill and discard) but I think it shouldn’t be much of an issue. If it really isn’t, this one should see a fairly amount of play.

    • Happy The Cat

Delirium shouldn’t be that hard, look at Goyf, it’s normally a 4/5 right?

      • EJ

Goyf is also pumped by your opponent’s graveyard.

        • Happy The Cat

he also comes out about 6 turns before this would

    • EJ

There’s way easier ways to exile creatures in EDH in white. Swords to Plowshares comes to mind. An 8-drop should be winning you the game. This requires way too much set up for spot removal.

8 Mana is Ugin the Spirit Dragon, Craterhoof Behemoth, original Avacyn, Vorinclex, Eldrazi Conscription, Nicol Bolas Planeswalker, Ashen Rider, Decree of Pain, Insurrection, Army of the Damned, etc.

      • Oscar

It could do some work with Kaalia.

        • EJ

          Kaalia has way better options.

          • Oscar

I will get one copy from the release event, might as well look how well she does. My deck isn’t very competitive anyway, as I am not using the most efficient cards but the ones that would otherwise just collect some dust.

  • MrAptronym

Well that is awfully open to exploitation if you can get 8 mana and delirium going.

  • Stinker289

Paddle faster, I hear angelic banjos.

  • skdidneornurjr

seems good in a stax deck with thornbite staff and the usual sac outlets

  • Happy The Cat

wizards! print more Jund Boars! I’ve only got 28 and I need more for the joke to work!

    • EJ

Are you including Blades of Velis Vel, Cairn Wanderer, Chameleon Colossus, Changeling Berserker, Changeling Titan, Fire-Belly Changeling, Game Trail Changeling, Ghostly Changeling, Moonglove Changeling, Mutavault, Nameless Inversion, Skeletal Changeling, Taurean Mauler, and Woodland Changeling?

      • Happy The Cat

no, I’m counting boars. the goal is to make them squeal like a pig, not squeal like something that resembles a pig.

        • EJ

          Mutavault is deeply saddened.

  • Chaospyke

This plus Chandra’s Ignition = Selective boardwipe.
At 8 mana probably won’t see play anywhere but EDH
But I feel so much love. IF only there were some decent Processing cards

    • Hedronal

With Chandra’s Ignition having her deal six damage to all everything else, that combo would only get so selective.

      • Happy The Cat

a game ending combo that can board wipe seems okay for most decks, but having two cards that also can combo with several other things (this with multi combat or double strike and CI with lifelink or wither)
mayael will love this in the builds that can rig their top decks also any deck that can pair this with mage slayer will hit pretty hard

  • Vectis

How can you get her? Is it enough to attend the prerelease? Or do you need to win?

    • Exyrea

nah, this is the release promo, you get it by drafting the release date. once the set hits stores

    • Hedronal

In addition to what Exyrea replied with, there will also be a non-promo version in the set, as a rare.

    • Vectis

      ok, ty guys
