This is where you go after u die
Why is this listed as “blue?” This card is not blue. This card is a land. It is not blue.

    • AHunter

      It’s because it’s secretly a dryad arbor-like land,so it’s a green black creature.. Still doesn’t make it blue,shit !
      /s
Seriously tho,it’s a great land for commander, but it probably won’t see much play in standard, like the majority of cards spoiled so far.

An old saying: Spoiler season is 95% hyping up new cards and 5% planning to actually use them.
I plan to actually use this card. Kumena. Elenda.

At first I thought this returned the creature to your hand and then I realized that it returns it to the battlefield. That makes it significantly more broken in Standard and Commander. I guess this is why Field Of Ruin got printed.

Until you realize that Vraska’s contempt among other exile effects are heavily played in standard and this is a virtual 2 for 1 (not to mention taking your 3rd turn off).

      • Edward

Oh i didn’t realize that. I guess this is what I get for not paying attention to Standard since Ixalan was released. I don’t play it either way so it doesn’t bother me too much. This is for sure a Commander card though.

I ask this because I know virtually nothing about the current state of standard. Is there a moderately to very strong instant speed sac outlet that would be playable in a in a sultai merfolk deck? Because if so, there has to be some brew in which this is a very powerful 2-of.

I love this card. I don’t even play standard but this on a Filigree Familiar seems hilarious. For more fun mix in some Cathartic Reunion, Liliana Death’s Majesty and fatal pushes, seems like a good basis for Jund reanimator in Standard. I also can’t wait to try it out in modern.

I hope we see where these are on the map as well.
