draw 4 cards and put 4 1/1 white Bird creature tokens with flying onto the battlefield.
not bad not good but not bad

    • Wow Double Cards

It doesn’t have to be both. It’s almost like having three cards in hand.

Glimpse of Nature is $20, boys and girls grab this while you can.

  • BLARGG the unthinkable

    Modern elves just got bluer

  • Uargaroth

Standard elves may be a thing.

  • Reid

Interesting that one of the guild “secret pairing” will be Simic/Azorius

  • Person

Simic deserves their own split card. This is lame.

This is WAAAAAY better than glimpse of nature. It’s whenever A creature enters the battlefield so that means 2 things, 1. opponents creatures, 2. tokens

      • imsully2

Um, have you ever played with glimpse of nature? Reasons why this is significantly worse than glimpse of nature: Why would an opponent play creatures on your turn after you cast this? The reason that Glimpse is so powerful is Elves, namely Heritage Druid, because they can produce mana and actually cast all of the elves you draw that same turn, and finally: glimpse lets you draw when you CAST a creature so if you’ve only got one creature in hand they can just counter it and you’ve wasted Beck // Call but you still draw with Glimpse. Reasons that Beck // Call is better: it’s not banned in modern.

        • =)

Well you can give ur opponent tokens

          • imsully2

That’s true, but is that usually worthwhile? The card that would work out nicely with this is Forbidden Orchard, it gives you mana of any color and lets you draw if you’ve cast Beck//Call, but the only deck that will really use Beck // Call will probably be combo elves and they usually don’t use anything that isn’t a forest since you can’t fetch it and you can’t easily untap it with Arbor Elf

          • CodyGozRawr

Hypersonic dragon, Alchemists refuge, Flash in Beck in response to them getting creatures or something, and they usually can’t counter you putting out a creature token

  • CodyGozRawr

The draw cards part of this card is EPIC, but the azorius side, eh not so much, for 6 you 4 1/1 tokens with flying, combined thats 8 to get 4 1/1s with flying and draw 4 cards, eh it should be either 4 to get 4 1/1s or 6 to get 6 1/1s

  • imsully2

I hope that this is good enough to make combo elves viable in modern, I don’t personally think it will make them broken but only time will tell, the extra (non-black) color in the cost is very relevant and the fact that it costs 2 is also very important, but between Arbor Elf and Deathrite Shaman blue mana is easier to get than ever before so it will be a very interesting environment to test this card in.

Standard applications: Meh, maybe some sort of Bant tokens thing with Master Biomancer will be able to make use of this card, but it seems like it’s an eternal card, not designed for standard.

  • This make me want to play bant ramp/control…
