Love the artwork on both of this card <3

    • Jay Kilian

Is wasted in that frame though.

        So true.

      • Schlapatzjenc

I disagree. Looks pretty cool this way, as far as I’m concerned.

  • Matthew Douglas

Artwork is awesome. It almost makes the frame work. Too bad it is so small.

    • Ryū

Agreed. I think this is easily one of the better looking invocations.

  • Evil9731

Does anyone know the source for this?

  • Lord Gonti Of The Orzov Networ

LOVE the art, but as matthew said, way to small

  • Julna Buras

Man, if only the art was bigger, because it’s extremely cool. I’d be perfectly happy to pull this in a pack, although it’d probably never happen.

  • elephant tree

I’m sorry, but the head looks like a smirkin’ duck…… Bonto the Goosefied? A Eggyptian God? :-)

  • Hedronal

Yep now I’m definitely in the complaint camp about the Invocations, just because of the too-small art. It’s good art, I (and I assume the fanbase in general) want more of it with better views, not less.

Good job Wizards gold star, what a great “GOBI”.

What if we got oversized invocations for promo / prices? Would be nice to see more artwork ^^

  • Deadly Berry

Another breathtaking artwork ruined by *That Border*.

you know what’s the worst part about these? the idea could have been great. my money would be on some chump in R&D suggested that, for the egyptian themed set, make the art look like it’s hyroglyphics on a wall about the card. BUT when this idea got to the design team they decided that all the cards needed a frame, this frame by itself probably went to a single designer who was probably told they wanted a magic card that looked like an Egyptian wall, they then proceeded to make a frame like a regular magic card because they weren’t told to make it bigger and more open so it would look like the art was part of a wall. then, after that the frame probably went back to R&D for the cards, to be put in. now, since the original idea of having a wall had to be scrapped due to the cards becoming, well, framed, they had artists make new art for these or they had to use rejects, alts or just art they had in spare for other cards to use(like the God’s spells, for example)
