For each creature target player controls, put a token onto the battlefield that’s a copy of that creature.

Their lust for battle was so great that they didn’t care their enemies wore their own faces.

  • Garrison Tran

dragon tempest > clone legion > decent of the dragons > GG

  • Minja

    Pretty cool for EDH.

    • Jonathan

Why yes, I will put this into my Teferi, Temporal Archmage deck. Nine mana is not a major issue there.

  • Blake

Reminds me of Rite of Replication Kicked

    • Kameenook

Except better/worse, depending on the situation.

  • OSFerret

Hi Mono-Blue Devotion top end… Thank you Nykthos for the mana

    • Master race

Yeah because blue devotion will let the opponent build up a big board that’s worth paying 9 mana to copy.

      • herpaderp

Target player, not target opponent. Read the card

        • Master race

          fair enoug. Still bad though

          • Jazzyboy1

What? Build an army, then make clones of every single creature in that army. Or if your opponent beats you to building a massive army, copy their army instead.

          • fddasf

9 mana is the problem here. Sure in commander it will be pretty sweet, but that’s about it.

  • Kaiser

Hi no black last mythic rare…*cry*

Well at least is blue and i love play this un UB or mono-U

  • Dr. Burn Crow

Oh now that’s just mean. Now to I put it in my zombie edh, my Jeskai burn, or my Temur Dragons edh deck first…

    • Jandro

Put it in ALL of them!

      • Dr. Burn Crow

Oh that’s the plan. Cuz I’m a monster

  • Vabolo

  • Yawgmoth

Lol epicly expensive, probably unplayable as it’s 9 mana to put you at parity on the board (what 5 mana does and 4 mana should do lol) but hey at least it’s unique.

    • Jonathan

It only puts you at parity if you have nothing. It should put you into a heavy advantage.
However, it’s high cost is too prohibitive for standard right now and there are better things for other formats. It fits into EDH well.

      • Kaiser

Yet but in commander and modern can work perfectly with Nykthos and mono devotion or mono color deck.

  • Ultramegalord

    i cant stop laughing maniacly…….it hurts…..

    • Marvin Sürig

Welcome to the Club :’D The ability does what the name promise XD

  • Jandro

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!! If only the tokens had haste…

    • Christopher John Lancaster

By the time you can play this high of a mana spell I’m sure you can throw out a “haste my dudes” enchantment of some kind,

  • Marvin Sürig

My Narset Token-Army EDH getting better and better *-*
I love it. I see me playing this with Narset and adding Thieves’ Auction.

  • Aaron Seet

  • James Sweet

This is not a great card, but it’s HILARIOUS. I might have to run it in some of my EDH decks just for the larfs.

    • Marvin Sürig

      Jhoria or Narset?^^

  • GeneralGenerous

Like all ridiculous expensive blue cards, welcome to Jhoria EDH

  • richardshort2001

If something that costs 7 should win you the game, what should something that costs 9 do??

Seriously, I’ll play this in something if I get a chance. Not sure what, but it’s too fun not to at least try it.

    • graveruler3

The same place that you play Omniscience and Enter The Infinite in the same turn. EDH

      • Kameenook

And the same place where you will be kicked out of my house for doing so.

  • Andi Nephaelin

It’ll be fun… but prepare for a lot of confusion.

  • Matt86

Commander Riku welcomes you, we shall worship you as our god! *bows*

  • Happy The Cat

    facts about magic
any time you are doubling something it is good

    • anonymous

Unless it’s a legendary or planeswalker.

      • Anonymous

Nope, new legendary rule allows you to have a legendary creature with the same name or a Planeswalker with the same subtype as one your opponent controls…which makes this card so playable, and SSSOOOOOOO much fun. And opens up another Zurgo joke, poor Zurgo, can’t even block himself to end his misery. :(

        • GildanBladeborn

They meant you could target yourself with this and then the copy of any legendary creature you control (or the original) would get sacrificed immediately. Unless you have Mirror Gallery.

      • Happy The Cat

        there’s a spell for that

  • The MacGuffin Guy

    must have!

  • Antares

Dear Wizards, thank you for a waste of a Mythic Rare slot. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ll go hang out with the playable mythics and rares from this set.

    • Ryū

Waste? This thing is friggin awesome

    • Anonymous

EDH is a thing, this is clearly a card for that format! I would not say it is a waste of a mythic personally.

    • akakj7

Dafuq u talking about EDH IS INDEED at thing

    • Anonymous

Ummmm…not sure what card you’re looking at, this is perhaps the best copy card ever, regardless of your format.

      • James Sweet

Nah, waaay too expensive. This will never see constructed play, ever. It’s great fun, though.

    • Kameenook

I’d say in general, rares see more play than mythics, that’s how wizards wants it to go down.

    • Melissa Juice

      Stop being such a baby.
This is great for Commander. Casual play too.

    • James Sweet

I reiterate what I said in another thread: this is just like old people being all like “There’s so much bad music today, not like the 60s/70s/etc.”. There’s been terrible music in every decade, it’s just that we forget all the crappy music (for obvious reasons) and remember all of the great music (for equally obvious reasons). It’s the same with MtG sets: You forget all of the crappy mythics from old sets, and remember all of the constructed staples. There are unplayable mythics in every set — that’s part of the whole game.

And as others have said, this is actually a pretty fun card for Commander. If you want to cry about the waste of a mythic, try Ugin’s Nexus, which is unplayable in any format, heh.

      • Antares

lol. Most of the commander decks where I play are creatureless decks. SO yeah . . . it’s unplayable for me in EDH.

And This card is also inferior to a TON or rares. Heck, In Garruk’s Wake pretty much had “You win the game if you cast this card” written on it. That was a Rare for the same 9 mana.

I don’t want every card to be a constructed staple. I just wish they didn’t put mythics and rares like this in the pack. Any time that you see the Rare/Mythic and think “Well, f*** this pack”, R&D failed.

        • Dustin Weeks

more often then not rarity is for draft anyways. its ment to make sure certain cards dont show up all of the time in a draft format.

  • Kameenook

  • Raymond Horley

    temur ventmaw deck maybe?

  • da

…wait couldn’t you just use this on yourself to double your creatures?

    • donaldjr

Yes… and then imagine if you used this in a token deck with doubling season :P

      • da

then double it… double it all with Riku.

A shame it can’t be cascaded into by Maelstorm.d

        • ashton

maelstrom… my pride and joy… why do you let me down!?!?

    • Melissa Juice

Because you might not have creatures.

      • da

All the more reason as to why this card is awesome (good in all deck types…. for edh and slow formats atleast)

  • shawnzilla

This plus intangible virtue! Modern staple for token decks!

  • Fbn Dnl Schlr

Come on Wizards, really? :D This is going to be so stupid :D love it!

    • Fbn Dnl Schlr

And by the way, as I own a Nin copy/steal control EDH, this is a must have :)

      • Marvin Sürig

Why not using a Bant EDH with Trostani and Rhys :D As Commander I suggest Roon of the Hidden Realm because of blinkling creatures which produce Tokens when entering the battlefield.

  • kranon

    Ach, Hans Run its……….yourself?
