    It’s back

  • Oh yeah! Door reprint! Awesome!

  • Singid25

    What the…..

First Worldfire, then Omniscience, now this. What. the. heck.

    • Shasta Lite

I laughed pretty hard reading this; you are a good man. 100% with you there.

      • Captmorgan96

At least this one’s a reprint

  • this crap is ridiculous! now-a-days u can have all that mana easily. well but now that primaveral titan will go away its not that easy in standard and i think they wont reprint birds of paradise so this wont play in standard.

    • Guest

…So because its not good in standard its crap? I’m sorry, but some people, I know this is nearly impossible for you to grasp, don’t exclusively play Friday Netdeck Magic tournaments.

      • guest1

Yeah seriously man some people play other netdeck formats bro get with it

        • HedronMyr

No one’s actually mentioned a format it would be good in (though I could definitely see EDH if you run five colors maybe). I can’t see someone having enough time in Modern with decks as fast as Affinity out there. Legacy? That has the potential to be just as fast, if not faster, and even more ridiculous. I guess the reprint could do something for Extended, maybe. I don’t know that format too too well, but even then you got some really fast decks that get buffs from the extra card pool (TS becomes more reliable with steel overseer, WW gets Student of Warfare and Squaks back), and Emrakul for that 15 Mana you can cast Emrakul (or if you want to make the 5 mana one turn, 10 mana text turn argument), you could drop Kozilek or something.

EDH/Commander I have little experience in, but I know the format is much slower. The biggest problems I see there is that A) your general has to be 5 colors, and B) EDH is, to my knowledge, slated as a format designed for more than two players. While this might not always be the case, there’s a chance you can nuke one player, then have one or two more to contend with without your bomb. At that point I would probably rather just take Progenitus out of the general zone…unless I needed someone dead immediately.

Still, I’m open to the thought of Door being really good. I want one of these guys that’s been blasting Carlos (or at least *someone*) to name a format and a deck that makes it work in that format reliably, and why.

      • Guest97

not to mention he NEVER said the card was crap, learn to read

        • Gralva01

“[T]his crap is ridiculous” can be interpreted as “[this] card is crap”. In any case, Guest NEVER mentioned that Carlos said the card was crap. So on and so forth… Learn to reason and properly use capitalization and punctuation.

Anyway, I think cards like this that target people who don’t give a crap about standard (or the netdecking involved) are awesome. However, I hope my brother’s Vorinclex/Etched Monstrosity/Domain/Prismatic Omen deck doesn’t meet up with this. This is like a Path to Exile, except you exile an opponent ! That sounds insane! BUT, if I let my opponent get to two of each mana type, I deserve to lose.

    • ExoduSS

This is the worst win condition ever. A 5 mana artifact that requires a 10 mana activation AND needs you to untap is bad. Not to mention it TARGETS opponents, so you play this acting like a dumbass and they play Missdirection on you, sounds good.

  • ExoduSS

    this card blows

    Worst fleshlight ever

    Worst Fleshlight ever!

  • Loudmouthmute

Not playable in standard? I have a green/white human/token deck with druids repository that says otherwise… -loudmouthmute

    Turn 1: Forest, Arbor Elf.
    Turn 2: Forest, Elvish Archdruid.
Turn 3: Mountain, Elvish Archdruid, Farseek (for Mountain).
Turn 4: Swamp, Boundless Realms (for a Swamp, 2 Islands, 2 Plains), Door to Nothingness.
    Turn 5: Win.

Of course, you will have no defence for the mana you tap for and it would take an incredibly lucky draw to pull it off (as by the end of turn 4, you have no cards in your hand, assuming you went first).  But it is still viable in Standard.
