    That’s an excellent card.

  • Daniel Kaine Allen

I’m surprised, I’m slightly excited about this card.

  • Bige Boiy

    that’s… rather potent

  • Dave

    Nice!

  • ymmij X

imagine casting both together on turn 4 in zombies(splashing green) that could easily be 6-8 card advantage swing not to mention it would be a massive pain to block

  • Johan K

Hm, can I really afford another noncreature slot in my Sidisi deck? The discard makes me want to say yes.

    • Edward

That was my thought exactly. If you just mil it you can destroy your opponent’s hand with all of the tokens and menace added on. If you draw it you cast both halves so you can draw a bunch of cards and destroy your opponent’s hand. Assuming we are getting a rare cycle of enemy colored Aftermath cards I hope the UB one is just as good as this.

  • Somebodyy

These aftermath cards in hour of devastation seem actually good compared to the Amonket ones

    • Blahblahblahbla

Maybe because it is the Aftermath of the coming of the second sun.. o_O

  • Jacob Hennessy

    Hapatra got more fun!

  • Mov

Menace and trample is an interesting combination… I mean it’s not like your opponent wouldn’t already be double blocking if your guys are big enough for trample to be worthwhile.

  • Aurore

I thought this would be a pretty big cost for such a swingy effect.

  • Shagoth

Two spells in one, creatures become specters, creatures draw, almost impossible to block, in green and black, so much freaking card advantage! This could make token decks tougher! Mazirek tokens will be happy.

    • Nebulium

Yeah, this is an aftermath spell I’m pumped for. One will definitely go straight into my Doran deck.

      • Hedronal

But it doesn’t give you +x/+x, so no, you’re not pumped.

        • Nebulium

          *slow clap* Well done, friend.

  • Alex Yaeger

This in a Nath deck = many elves
This in Nath + Doubling Season and/or Parallel Lives = too many elves

  • Blahblahblahbla

I’m curious if this can eek it’s way into modern. This is the type of massively swingy that just might make tokens worth playing. Before smacking your opponents for a few damage each turn wasn’t enough. Now you can fill your hand and empty your opponents while forcing potential bad blocks or pushing through damage. Very curious..

  • CMK

Well, I guess Driven // Succeed is off the table now…

  • heinrich himmler

    Modern Dredge?
