Double strike

Heroic — Whenever you cast a spell that targets Fabled Hero, put a +1/+1 counter on Fabled Hero.

“You. Poet. Be sure to write this down.”

I love the flavor text. This is a pretty beastly card, I just hope there’s a lot of cheap/good spells that aren’t spoiled yet to trigger heroic, if so, this card will be epic in limited.

  • Levi Warren

Just wonderful, totally viable in a constructed soldier or white weenie deck.

  • Zombie

Possible slot filler for Silverblade Paladin post INN, though Boros Reckoner is still likely a better option to round out the 3 drops for White Weenie.

If a way to consistently trigger Heroic for this creature emerges, it will definitely see Standard play.

  • David Meyers

Mid-combat selesnya charm would be brutal on this guy.

  • Sakashima the Impostor

And the best flavor text in Theros goes to….

  • guy

yes i’m a poet. ac-hem, “the one who smelt it, dealt it”

    • person

      Turn 1: Elvish Mystic
      Turn 2: Elvish Mystic
      Turn 3: this guy
Turn 4: Giant Growth, Unnatural Predation, Ranger’s Guile, Brave the Elements and a Selesnya Charm.

      • Brandon Bilodeau

ya thats more realistic because you know your gonna draw all 8 of those cards by turn 4.

        • MtgMind-Welder98

          Pretty much yah

          • the wind

            this might be possible
think about it you don’t need one of each
triple growth and then brave to ignore, you have 20 damage right there

          • MtgMind-Welder98

Right. Not impossible, but not very likely :)
