Whenever ~ attacks, target opponent player puts the top half of his or her library into his or her graveyard, rounded up.

  • Kuba

    Combo with Fraying Sanity.

  • Nebulium

I am always happy seeing more mill for EDH.

  • Timmy Tatters

    Traumatize on a stick

    • CnBCustoms

Correction: Traumatize on a big stick.

  • Vincent Godin-Filion

    Very good.
But I don’t see the flavor. Destroying boats mill libraries now?

    • Shawn Michael Diaz

Maybe it’s more of a ‘capsize the opponents library’ kinda feel? It’s pretty thematic if they’re playing Pirates, lol But yeah this isn’t the usual ‘library=mind’ kind of mill flavor.

      • Hedronal

I think it’s meant to be that your resources are gone.

    • Hedronal

Your library is your resources, and those all just sunk, I think.

  • Njaal

I’m happy we got some sea monsters, I always love me some good old sea monsters. This one is a pretty good sea monster too and it’ll end many games in limited and see plenty of play in EDH. I like it.

  • Jude

….OK LETS JIST MAKE FRAYING SANITY EVEN MORE STUPID

    • galen150

it is a 7 drop and then has to attack in order for its ability to trigger. so its not like you wont be able to respond to it.

  • CMK

I have to say it: “There’s always a bigger fish.”

  • Kameenook

I know enough spanish to know pesce refers to fish. Surprised it’s not also grandisimo.

    • Fabio Savelli

      It’s Italian, not spanish…

      • Kameenook

Well that is absolutely my fault then.

  • Lazav intensifies

  • its devourer of ships or ship eater or something like that.

  • Joe Runyon

Uhhh, magic spoilers I’m pretty sure that’s a blue card.

  • HeyHey

I’ve played against Ulamog the Ceaseless Hunger, I’ve milled many a cards from my own library because of Ulamog the Ceaseless Hunger, and you, sir fish, are no Ulamog the Ceaseless Hunger.

  • Alexandre Donnart

It’s a lot more expensive than I thought. It was almost spoiled a month ago but with a 5 CMC. For 7 it’s just unplayable.

    • Hedronal

Mill commander will appreciate your copies, then. But yeah, not much else will.

      • Alexandre Donnart

I wouldn’t even play it in Commander. I don’t know the format nor the deck that well, but it seems bad in a Mill deck, because just like Traumatize, it’s not that good with other mill spells. Both should be played in a Control shell with a Fraying Sanity combo to win on the spot.

        • CnBCustoms

Unless you’re playing in a hyper-competitive commander setting, this should be fine. Even then, you generally can’t go wrong with milling half of a commander deck, even after a slew of mill spells.

          • Hedronal

Exceptions: milling Meren, Daretti, and co. That said, yes, thank you for making the point. This card isn’t for competitive commander, it’s for the regular kind. I don’t really like un-normalizing parts of a game, but it’s commander, it’s made to be big, splashy, and casual.

  • Transgendent

Hey MagicSpoiler, this card isn’t black. Why did you put the color as black?

  • Hedronal

    Anyone got the flavor text?

    • Everardo

‘Capitan, I think that island is following us.’

      • Hedronal

Oh how I hope so, thank you.

  • Hedronal

With invaders coming to the continent of Ixalan from another one, I’m glad to see a sea monster like from that vast ocean between them.

  • Grant Jacobson

what is the soonest this can be reasonably reanimated in a standard game (gift decks get GPG out by turn 4-ish)

    • Torrey Clanton

4? ramp 1 turn loot it out and reanimate with lili? turn 5 fraying sanity attack win?

    • Samuel

could also drop it for free after exerting champion of Rhonas

  • Cooper Jurgen ZIlkenat

    Fraying sanity

  • Daniel Kaine Allen

It’s cool, but it isn’t 7 mana cool. I would rather have ulamog the ceaseless hunger.

  • Drasch

    Vizzerdrix ^^

    • Vizzerdrix

      Yes? Can I help you?

  • Chaospyke

Shame it’s not 5 mana like originally thought, I was going to try for a mill deck, but 7 mana is way too much.
Maybe some commander deck could use it.

  • Edward

The obligatory over-the-top blue mil card and I am not mad about it.

  • Happy The Cat

really the only big down side to this is myriad puts the tokens on the board attacking so you don’t get the “when ~ attacks” triggers.
