    OMFG you?! really?!

  • Kevan Kramer

When i learned the set name was Invocations, I felt that they would do this card. Now one can run a playset of this card with all different arts. Too bad the frame of this card is garage or this wouldn’t be the worst art of this card.

    • Kaiser

How exactly the frame make the ART worst? the are is very cool, a good using his divinity will is very flavor for this card.

      • Haunter!

The frame cuts into the art and makes the actual image have less space.

      • Kevan Kramer

The fame distracts from and art making the overall card ugly. Also the fame makes the art seem smaller than normal cards

        • Vizzerdrix

I also don’t like frame and font doesn’t look that nice to me either, personally I kinda liked some of the zendikar lands, a couple invention looked ok I didn’t care for the colors they all look very similar. These are kinda ugly to me

  • Blahblahblahbla

I was all.. “what’s up with homie’s head??”

    It’s a bird, yo.

  • Winter Trabex

Force of Will is why I don’t play Legacy- Cavern of Souls is simply too expensive. It’s not like there aren’t other ways I can entertain myself on a weekend. I will never not hate this card.

    • God Enel

I don’t like getting countered either, but FoW is the card that holds Legacy together, if there was no FoW and to some extent Daze, it would be madness.

      • Winter Trabex

Force warps the format way too much. It ought to be banned. And then they should ban everything that force would have stopped.

        • sansmyhands

          Soooo…Modern?

          • Winter Trabex

I like Modern. It’s expensive, but the meta is at least balanced. I’m not sure that I like it being a solved format.

        • God Enel

That would make the format boring though. Force warps the format in a good way, because people know they will have to face it more often than not, thus they build their decks to be resilient to it, and play in such a way as to not get blown out by a timely Force. If there was no Force people could just go all in in their combos or strategies, and that would speed up the format a lot, it would be even faster than modern, and modern is already too damn fast.

I’m still waiting for them to finally screw the reserved list and reprint the hell out of everything.
Cards like these (and recently Eternal Masters) make me feel like they want to do that so bad.

    • Vizzerdrix

Personally I’ve felt that getting rid of the reserved list and printing lined l limited run promos like this would be a good way to increase the number of cards around, also something like foil dual lands would be expensive and for players looking to foil out decks and their regular lands would potentially go into the secondary market and would likely retain their value so wouldn’t really hurt collectors, a promo like this does very little to increase how many are available, eternal masters reprints do so I wouldn’t put something like duals in there to keep collectors happy.

      • p aal

Collectors collect unique and first/early prints a lot of the time though. If something like EM2 would have duals, they’d still have their originals. The only downside is their value, but collectors shouldn’t make certain formats near impossible to play. It’s still a card game, meant to be played, that means having cards accesible. The collectability is still there, even with reprints (originals and rare editions > reprints). I have plenty of reserved list stuff, but I’d love for them to abolish it.

    Well, found the bank-breaker.
