• Deadly Berry

    New Burning-Tree Emissary huh.

    • Zombie

Won’t ever be as widely used as Burning-Tree, though.

Producing only green mana severely limits the options for this card outside of combos, and even then if you use it in something like Creature Storm it’s hard to use the GG it produces, where are BTE can cast every single spell.

BTE is also useful in Zoo because in can chain into a Surge-cast Reckless Bushwhacker, cast both a Goblin Guide and Wild Nacatl, both Experiment One and Vexing Devil, etc.

This is definitely a cool card but it’s far more narrow than BTE.

    Time to build elfless elves.

  • Alex Egertsen

This is a great addition to cloudstone curio decks

    found them!

  • DJPad

This plus tangleroot gives you a permanent glimpse of nature

    • DJPad

      wrong card

  • God Enel

I don’t think this card needed the Revolt mechanic, it’s too restrictive and will probably make it unplayable in standard, strictly worse than Burning-Tree Emissary.

    • Robert FakeLastName

renegade map goes super well this this in standard. easy revolt trigger on turn 2. it is not strictly worse than bte b/c this produces gg where that made rg. the gg might actually matter for certain other spells. worse yes, strictly worse not so much.

  • Togetheralone

This combos with the 1 mana 3/4 pig. Play pig, get an energy and it returns to hand, play this get two green mana recast pig twice and meet its energy requirement. This leaves you with a free 2/2 and a 3/4.

    • Random Guy

3 mana and 2 cards for a 2/2 and a 3/4 isn’t super crazy, but it’s an ok combo and the cards work alright by themselves. I think the real strength of the pig is that it works with aether hub in a non-energy deck and in a deck built around it you can use it for any amount of mana->energy or mana->etb.

  • Arcus Diabolus

If only this was triggered at the end of turn.
