Tap Symbol: Add {C} to your mana pool.

Tap Symbol, pay 1 life: Add one mana of any color to your mana pool. Activate this ability only when you control an artifact.

  • Miles Rinesmith

hey look a new Mana Confluence.

    • Víctor Navarro Alcaraz

This can tap for {C} if you don’t want to pay life though

    • God Enel

Looks more like Glimmervoid due to requiring an artifact to add mana of any color.

      • Bostorket

Though it doesn’t die after getting Hurkyl’d.

  • Jakob Schneider

Glimmervoid meets Mana Confluence and Painlands.
    I like it.

  • Scott Fridinger

    A must have set.

  • Zombie

It’s not strictly worse, but it’s definitely worse than Mana Confluence or Glimmervoid.

I’d still even say that City of Brass edges it out in terms of usability.

But it will be a pretty big deal in Standard and it’s the best fixing bar none for Kaladesh block Limited.

    • Togetheralone

Is the option to not take damage from this not an upside over those or is it not relevant where it is used? Just Curious.

      • Zombie

It’s upside, but the large downside comes from not always being able to produce colored mana.

It could matter in a “Colorless Matters” deck, for sure. But decks like those, say Eldrazi, can’t really use the second ability because it requires you to have an artifact in play.

It’s mostly that the second ability is conditional color fixing rather than actual color fixing like Mana Confluence, Glimmervoid, City of Brass, etc.

        • eltratzo

with most of these I’d certainly agree but does that hold true for glimmervoid? it has more or less the same condition (yes it can tap for coloured mana the turn you play it but it also dies at and of turn if you cant fullfill it. and since artifacts are colourless both should be nearly equally good at helping you fulfill their condition) I wouldn’t play it over the void but they should be mostly interchangable most of the time.

          • Zombie

Glimmervoid requires an artifact to be in play, but doesn’t hurt you.

          • eltratzo

yeah but that should be largely neglegible in most decks that use glimmervoid. so maybe you could us this as copies 5-8 (does affinity need that?) or even as a budget alternative depending on how much this will cost (glimmervoid is about 13-15 euro in europe)

  • Derek Niles

I like this a lot more than mana confluence personally because of the option to not take any damage, but I understand that having a requirement to make colored mana makes this a little “worse” in general. Either way, great card and I will be happy to have them

    • Jakob Schneider

Requiring an artifact to get any colored mana out of this is *far* more than “a little” worse, though :P

  • joejotezzhf00123

This is like a better mana confluence

  • Deadly Berry

    Okayish enough.

  • This is something I could sort of imagine using as a cheap fourth Glimmervoid for Affinity
