this actually doesn’t seem that bad. too bad blue doesnt get exert because that 2nd +1 would be pretty nice. plus, drawing a card each turn and taking control of creatures occasionally is nice.

  • Kevan Kramer

This might have done it…aka making a worse Jace than Jace the Living Guildpact.

    • Jefferson Bicalho

it’s supposed to be ~bad~, it’s from the Planeswalker decks

      • Dave

People still don’t get it after four sets…

        • Cody Daniels

I keep trying to point this out, but everyone expects the same walkers that are in the actual sets.

  • Darkray Accel

He looks better with the hood, much better.

    • Cody Daniels

      Hooded Jace is Supreme Jace.

  • Steve Baker

I like it. Some planeswalkers you have to think about to figure out completely. This one would be an excellent PW for an intro deck.

    • Cody Daniels

Same with Huatli. Intro player immediately understands “Oh, I should put her in a deck full of dinosaurs, got it.” Super gronkable walkers.

  • Dr. Burn Crow

What am i even looking at? It’s certainly not subtle, but I like it for EDH.

    • Hedronal

      Azami fodder, that’s what.

  • Derek Niles

The 6 CMC is a little rough but he could find a home in commander for sure

    • Mini Zem

Going right into my Azami deck for sure.

      • Hyorin

Was thinking the same thing, untapping all my creatures gives A LOT of cards.

  • Writerofthings

Edh for sure. I kind of like it

  • John Scott

so is this suppose to be jace remembering who he is after bolas’ touch?

  • Shagoth

By PW deck standards, this is pretty solid.

  • Robert FakeLastName

chain viel + march of the machines + mana dorks = a lot of loyalty with not a whole lot to do lol.

  • Vincent Godin-Filion

So disapointed. On his other card, Jace has a lot less clothes. On this one, we barely see any skin. Jace… Why u so prude again? Well, he’s cute anyway. Oh and the card’s actually great, for an intro deck pw. It’s straightforward, simple, and in casual or edh multiplayer games, stealing 3 creatures is sweet.

  • MrAptronym

I know I brought this up on the other Jace, but what is Jace’s mechanical identity supposed to be? If he is just supposed to be everything blue excpet artifacts, then I think that is sort of a mistake. Not just because I’d like to see a mono blue Tamiyo again or another monoblue walker, but because Jace doesn’t feel like he has a cohesive mechanical identity right now, and that is bad for his character.

    • eltratzo

but isn’t that in itself kind of in character for him? jace is a seeker. he forgot his own origins, dabbles in most variants of mind and illusion magic, has a hero complex and a tendency to try do everything by himself. his cards sort of meandering around and having a new focus depending on what shiny new plot entices him at that moment does sort of fit that general trend of his.

    • Aidan23

I think he is normally supposed to be drawing cards and controly but (this is just a theory that I came up with) I think he has something similar to amnesia after nicol bolas went into his mind so when he awoke from that he had to build a new identity which is more akin to blue creature agro.

    • Cody Daniels

I think him getting his memories wiped might lead to some intricate character development. This is a man who no longer is leashed down by all his past. That means no Liliana jitters, no immediate hate for Vraska. Plotwise who knows what could happen, Vraska could manipulate him into helping since it seems they are both pirates in this set. I’m assuming the Merfolk find him first due to his exclusive card, but i could be reading too much into it.

      • TogetherAlone

N ope, story last week vraska found him first. my guess he escapes and tries to find this relic on his own.

  • Dr. Burn Crow

Guys. Noyan Dar, guys. Land creatures FOREVER.

    • Polis_Ohio

Noyan Dar forever, 100 Years Noyan Dar.

      • Blahblahblahbla

97 more episodes of Noyan Dar and lands.

        • Dr. Burn Crow

I’m Jori En! Look at meee!! Existence is pain!!

      • Dr. Burn Crow

  • Edwin Marín Castro

The second hability is really nice.

  • Márcio Siqueira

+1 to untap all creatures. say whaaaaat?

    • Dr. Gitrog Crow

Infinite with Chain veil, fatestitcher, and 4 mana worth of mana dorks. Hard to set up but obviously interesting.

  • Joe Runyon

I think they made the jace deck a bit better.

  • Marvin Sürig

looking at those two + Abilities it feels like you could abuse it like Teferi PW

  • Giby86 .

They just cannot do a bad Jace. Sheesh.
