Will of the Council — When Magister of Worth enters the battlefield, starting with you, each player votes for grace or condemnation. If grace gets more votes, each player returns each creature card from his or her graveyard to the battlefield. If condemnation gets more votes or the vote is tied, destroy all creatures other than Magister of Worth.

    • Luke Myers

      new set

  • artificer682

umm ya… would love to know a little bit more about Conspiracy.

  • John Lawrence Ocampo

wait… maybe this is the 3rd set for the unhinged

    • Frontic

My thoughts exactly, judging by the other card that was spoiled. “When you draft this card” <– that doesnt sound very serious

      • Xero

They’re from Conspiracy, a new multiplayer set that is to be released this summer.

    • harakka

      Nope, Un-series have silver borders.

  • MagicGALAXY

    Lol

  • Kirito

Looks like a yu gi oh card… DUMB

    • FuzzyKittyBark

i’m going to hurt you for pointing that out

  • alexander stanislaw

Why is the templating different than rise of the dark realms? (“Return all creatures from all graveyards to the battlefield under their owner’s control”.

    • Marcos Perera

Because the effect isn’t exactly the same…

      • alexander stanislaw

        See my other comments

    • Hand of the Praetors

Because each player returns the ones they own and would automatically return under their control no need to specify.

      • alexander stanislaw

Okay then why not “Return all creatures from all graveyards to the battlefield”

        • Guest

There are no creatures in the graveyard, only creature cards, so “Return all creatures from all graveyards to the battlefield” doesn’t work. Rise of the Dark Realms says “Put all creature cards from all graveyards onto the battlefield under your control.” That give them ALL to you. This card, Magister of Worth, has the same template as, say, Immortal Servitude.

          • Guest

I suppose if I’m talking about templating then I should be more careful, however, it still doesn’t match, if it did it would say “Put all creature cards from all graveyards onto the battlefield” rather than “Each player puts each creature card form his or her graveyard onto the battlefield”. That second one (which is actually on the card) is both clumsy and inconsistent.

I don’t care if the templating is inconsistent, but if it usually is consistent then this could be a sign that the card is fake.

          • Xero

            See: Pyrrhic Revival

    • yumyum36

Dude, it’s, “Put all creature carsd from all graveyards onto the battlefield underyour control.” It could work well with condemnation, I guess.

Rise of the dark realms looks designed for multiplayer anyways, its effect is amplified for each graveyard there is.

      • alexander stanislaw

I’m talking about the “each creature card from his or her graveyard” vs “all creatures from all graveyards” templating. These are usually non-functional and not important, but sometimes you will end up with a bizarre situation like pyroblast and red elemental blast being functionally very different.

  • Chi Sarades

i say fake but at the same time it feels like a multiplayer orzhav card

  • lover

will be a bomb in standard! might replace desecration demon!

    • Antares

Well. . . it might, if this set were standard legal. XD
Nobody said this set will be legal for standard. MAYBE for Modern? Legacy and Vintage and EDH allow everything beyond their respective banned lists. :P

Also, Why not both? They’re on different slots in the curve, and DD comes in earlier.

      • Kevan Kramer

This won’t be legal in standard or Modern. It will be this set bomb and good for EDH, but that is it.

  • blahkak

seems to me like this is going to be a pack-wars type format, maybe cube. the other card has switching between packs so…

  • Chi Sarades

i wonder if this set will be considered standard. also will we able to play this outside of draft. for example how about in commander?

    • YouGotFranked

It WON’T be standard legal. Conspiracy is the 2014 summer multiplayer product, in the same vein as Archenemy or Planechase. It’s not a standard set. Most of the cards will be playable in Legacy and Vintage though, with 13 of them being illegal. As for commander, we don’t know yet. The RC haven’t said anything about it yet.

  • YouGotFranked

This card isn’t good. The only time it will be a win-win situation is if you have a superior graveyard. Otherwise, you’ll always be the only one voting condemnation and whatever the result, your opponents will have a full turn to deal with whatever happened. You opponents basically have a choice between losing or reanimating their creatures. Not a hard choice if you ask me.

As for “Will of the Council”, the one thing that hold it back imo is that you have to vote first. You’re telling the whole table what side of the effect you want so that the other players can work against that option. In this kind of voting mechanic, the later you vote, the more power your vote hold. Voting last would allow you to be the tie breaker in certain situations, thus allowing you to get the effect you desire. Otherwise, it’s just as bad as any punisher mechanic: You never get what you want.

“If condemnation gets more votes or the vote is tied, destroy all other creatures”

Since you vote first, in 1v1 if you vote for condemnation all other creatures will be destroyed no matter what your opponent votes for. So what you get is 6 for a 4/4 flyer that destroys all other creatures in play as an ETB effect… which is pretty darn good. You throw in some flicker spells and you have a spamable Day of Judgment with a 4/4 flying beat stick.

I’d only see someone voting for the second option in Multiplayer.

      • YouGotFranked

Problem is, Conspiracy is a multiplayer draft format.

Karador Deck, it’s a win either way, one way is a boardwipe, which you then proceed to casting it all again form your GY, or just get you GY back to the field
