1 Mana, Tap Symbol: Target player puts the top two cards of his or her library into his or her graveyard.

  • famguy3

Ahh, the card that spawned a win method. Always glad to see it. Even though it is outdated.

  • Andy Dondes

    Should be reprintet as common

  • richardshort2001

uncommon this, please, WOTC, please. That or it will cause me to rip up so many packs.

    • lighthouseman

thats quite stupid because this card costs $0,49

      • richardshort2001

can get it for 24 cents on mtg, but lets say $.49. I should be happy to get a rare that costs less than 50 cents?

        • richardshort2001

and is hasn’t been a good mill source in many, many years.

          • Pedro Martins

i think that sands of delirium is better than this one. i don’t think stupid make this uncommon, if we look to the price, rancor have a higher price, and is uncommon

    • CodyGozRawr

Agreed, I could see if being a rare back in the day, but now, they make cards that are better than this, and make them commons and uncommons!

    • Jubei

Even codex shredder is 1 mana for mill 1 per turn. That’s a bad card, and it’s still better with upside of regrowth

      • richardshort2001

I’d rather run Ghoulcaller’s Bell than Millstone. Free mill and aids graveyard play including Psychic Spiral. Ran a casual Extended self-mill/mill deck. Worked ok.

  • Zombie

I’m pretty sure this exists purely for nostalgia purposes, and as a replacement Nephalia Drownyard in Esper builds post- cycling of Innistrad block. Even then, I doubt most Esper builds would run any number of copies over a single JMA.

Mill is a fine casual deck, but it’s not a competitive primary win condition anymore. Still fun, unless you’re the one playing it and you’re getting your face beat in by Naya or Jund.

  • xcver

Well the Mill X card from M13 was a bomb (it strangely picked a bit late sometimes) but it usually was a legitimate 3-5 turn clock. Millstone is less so, but we might see some more stuff in that direction.

    • Zombie

Sands of Delirium is picked late because drafting Mill in a creature- centric environment is the same thing as signing your slip 0-2.

      • xcver

I insist that Sands of Delirium was a legit win condition in M13 draft or even more so sealed

        • Zombie

A lot of cards have the potential to win you the game. A 1/1 can kill your opponent in effectively 20 turns, but they’re still not high picks. If anyone was successful with Sands in your metagame, then everyone else playing against that deck that used Sands needs to reevaluate their draft priorities, because you should not lose to a weak mill engine in Limited.

          • xcver

It was the MTGO 8-4 draft queues metagame so I guess that was valid…

  • Loiden Mc Leroy

This card invented the term Mill!

  • Jaden Ledkins

I am happy to be able to get this for my peasant cube and with good art to boot.
