    Complicated love story

    • Arcus Diabolus

The flavor text suggests a divorce. :^)

  • Nebulium

Daaaaaaaaaaannnnngggg. A little like a dolmen gate that can be abused a bit more or less depending on the deck, and it’s got a nice ping added in.

  • MrAptronym

I am in love with the art on this card. I wonder if a print will be made available.

  • Nyx

Sounds like my ex wife. Ex wife number one….

  • Silveros

    Straight into Kaalia.

  • Ryū

Silly Nahiri, Sorin is going to strangle you with your own arteries.

  • Mike

This + the new Odric= frontline medic, without the bother of the batallion mechanic! And that’s only half of the card’s ability

    • Bige Boiy

yeah obviously this + odric is the limited dream. who knows; spider spawning was a limited archetype, so maybe this combo will be relevant enough to change the format

    • Jazzyboy1

I’d rather just use Kytheon/Gideon for that, but each to their own :P

  • Happy The Cat

that name feels like this used to be a creature.
still okay, will do it’s job in turning combat.

    • Melissa Juice

Machination? That doesn’t refer to anything creature-like.

      • Happy The Cat

I put that up way late and I couldn’t think straight, pretty sure I was thinking mech and not mach

        • Hedronal

Nahiri’s Mechinations does sound like it would have been a creature.

  • Jazzyboy1

So Nahiri’s even turned the people to her side. Veeery interesting…

Now I’m wondering whether she’s just joined some cult, or some kind of cult or just a group of villagers has decided to follow her.

I am wounder what I missed in the lore. I try to keep up…but….What did Sorin do that has her panties in a twist? I mean neirther of them where on Zendikar, and she was the one who was supposed to babysit the Eldrazi.

      • Hedronal

We don’t know what he did yet.

After originally sealing the eldrazi titans on Zendikar, Ugin, Sorin and Nahiri agreed that they would return to Zendikar when their notification systems (hedron magic of some sort) told them there was a problem with the hedron grid, so they could deal with it. While guarding Zendikar but sometimes hibernating, Nahiri eventually found a problem with a part of the grid, sent out the call, and solved it by herself, killing some vampires (which she hadn’t seen on Zendikar before) in the process. She then went to Innistrad to look for Sorin, and find out why he didn’t come.

She may have assumed or found out that Sorin started vampire lineages on Zendikar, but even with not showing up to help with the eldrazi that doesn’t seem like enough. In conversation with Ugin, Sorin revealed that he knows about what happened to Nahiri, but did not say what it was.

We also don’t know if she’s mad at Ugin, as he also did not return as promised, but he was unconscious in a hedron cocoon at the time, having been saved from death by the one who made it.

THANKS! Good to know i am not crazy and missed something in the lore. It will be interesting to see what is up b/c she seems really pissed.

  • Rovkir Hexus

Because white weenies needed more indestructible.

  • yolksoup

    • Happy The Cat

in what way? this can’t hit player or even regular creatures.
      this aint no Pyrohemia m8

      • yolksoup

        Sarcasm m8

  • Velvet Wurm

Why is Nahiri being so mean? I only bought the Nahiri commander deck because I thought she’d be a nice person.

    • Happy The Cat

because she’s red now, it does things to you when you gain what is simultaneously the best and worst color in magic.

      • Velvet Wurm

But Gisela was nice, she always helped me in commander.

        • Happy The Cat

she set people on fire dude, she’s crazy.

          • Velvet Wurm

And that’s why she’s so good with Aurelia in commander

    • Jazzyboy1

She’s angry for some reason. For all we know so far, she might have a good reason for it, so she might still be a nice person. But either way, being really angry does often make nice people commit evil acts.

Also, Gisela is actually evil now, due to whatever corruption has hit the angels. She’s working for Avacyn, slaughtering humans without hesitation.
