Activated abilities of sources with the chosen name can’t be activated unless they’re mana abilities.

The fearful want the procedure before a blood festival. The guilty seek it afterward.

        “Activated abilities”
        I.E. Delver’s flip ability, delver cannot transform if the pithing needle names “Delver of Secrets” 

        So basically it makes delver a 1/1 for 1 lol

      Well, Needle is a sideboard card in most formats so its pretty iffy on what you would do with it early game one… but you made your deck with a specific purpose if you drop it turn 1 game one.

      Abrupt Decay, and Naturalize make Pithing Needle kind of Null and Void against G/B, unfortunately…

      lands, creatures and artifacts tapin to generate mana…u may note that abilities that could end up generating mana (like arbor elf untaping land ability) doesnt count
