Whelp vampire token decks just became scary. And now I’m finally going to make a vampire deck.

An extremely limited version of Always Watching.

    • Laws

Always Watching didn’t affect tokens – this does. Huge difference.

      • Lord Gonti Of The Orzov Networ

        Very true. Forgot about that.

Laws is right. Extending the benefit to tokens is big. Also, this is easier to splash at only 2W vs. 1WW, which the vampire token decks now running rampant will enjoy.

Oh yeah. I’m so used to using it for my Angles deck, what u forgot about the non-tokens part.

  • Vamps just got freaking deadly.

  • Shagoth

Mono white commander EDH, because mardu is too clogged up by this point.

so, turn 1 2/1 vamp, turn 2 vamp lord, turn 3 this, turn 4 the spawn 3 1/1 tokens. have ascend and now you have 3 tokens that are 3/3, a 4/3 flier, and a 3/3 lord, and they all have vigilance. this curves out really well, and i might want to make a vamp token deck now.

Everything about Orazca is ready for tribal. The Sun Empire was racist when building it. Pirates apply too, so also classist? Sounds like them. Maybe occupationist. They are literally occupying former merfolk lands.

Making 1/1s into 2/2s is a double in power and toughness, making this a very real card in vampire decks. Dinosaurs probably don’t want it though, they have fewer creatures and bigger ones already, making this boost less relevant.

whats nice is if you play it on turn three you still get the pump bonus, then if you either play later and get the city’s blessing, or get the blessing it turns it on from another card. Also if you have two in play the blessing sticks, and you get to keep the ability as its not on one enchantment.

The deck that most wants this will have the easiest time hitting Ascend
