Consulate Dreadnought? Might be hard to be consistent, but sheesh.

    • Jacob Anderson

      That’s what i was thinking.

    • Sage

You don’t necessarily even need the dreadnought, an 8/4 trample first strike on turn three is pretty devastating as well, if not more so due to trample.

      • Jacob Anderson

What 2 drop vehicle is a 5/4 with trample? I’m guessing you are talking about Renegade Freighter if so this is Freighter are both 3 drops so it wouldn’t be til turn 4 and it would only be 8/4 when attacking otherwise just 7/3 which makes it much more vulnerable to removal.

  • Blahblahblahbla

I was -just- thinking that they would print this card after reading Sram, Senior Edificier!

  • Happy The Cat

well that seems playable, there’s like two or three 6/1 vehicles right?
plus they just spoiled a one mana 7/11 didn’t they? looks like wizards REALLY wants vehicles to be a thing.

  • ‘sup-cakes

“Seige” sounds pretty trample-y to me. No? First strike…Alrigh…

    • Happy The Cat

Well, Ovalchase Dragster already has trample, wouldn’t want to stack those. Actually a lot of the vehicles have trample already so having first strike instead just makes this a better card.

      • ‘sup-cakes

That’s fair. I was just thinking that, between the word “siege” and the picture, all the flavor of this card screams trample to me.

Wizards looks like they are doing what they usually do, push gimmicks/mechanics introduced in the first set and push them more in the second. Little did Wizards know that in the first set alone Energy and Vehichles were already top tier. This is going to make the Peacekeeper/Fat Vehicles (but mostly dreadnought) deck REAL consistent. We have three ways to do this now! I want this standard deck.

  • Kushala

So you decided to print away to swing for 10 with first strike on turn 3? Fair and legitimate gameplay

    • Togetheralone

Yes but its a high risk, high reward situation as your vehicle is now vulnerable to sorcery speed removal and you will get 2-1’d if they remove it

  • Kushala

Also enables all of the swing triggers, i.e. copter, to go off more effectively and more often. Does make your vehicles more susceptible to removal though

    • Random Guy

And it sets you up to be 2-for-1-ed very easily.

      • Kushala

That’s the nature of vehicles already, and people still play them. You crew a vehicle, and if the vehicle gets removed before you attack, you lose not only the vehicle but also the creature that crewed it for that combat

        • Random Guy

Getting a permanent tapped is far better than getting a permanent destroyed, this can cause a 2-for-1 at sorcery speed, and vehicles are often used on creatures entering the battlefield so you often lose nothing by crewing them except a potential blocker which is minor in most cases.
