    YEEEEEEE

  • Alex

This is certainly a good card, but mechanically feels like it should be uncommon.

    • Kahai

      uncommon can’t cost 2 though. :O

      • Tolle

        We have two mana uncommons…

        • Kahai

Not with an effect as abuse able as that it can’t be. Throw this in with the polyraptor combo and you’re in for some DINO’s!

Outside of standard, he comes even stronger. both repeatable ping and counter doubling are extremely abuse-able with this guy.

          • Tolle

            A. Remember that rarity is only for limited, has no impact on constructed.
            B. Considering how few 1 damage spells we have in these colors that likely won’t end up being anything but a 2 mana 2/2

          • Kahai

            Forerunner of the Empire
            and
            Fanatical Firebrand

          • Tolle

Please note the use of “in these colors.” The card is white and green, not red. And 3 colors isn’t very easy in this format. At least not in dinos.

          • Kahai

What’s your point? The care is a rare because they wanted it to be a rare. This is unlikely to be some format shifting card, and i doubt it will break 5 bucks.

          • Tolle

My point is what I’ve been saying the whole time. This won’t be very good in limited because it will be nearly impossible to deal only 1 damage to it reliably to get its trigger within the green white color pie options we currently have. Since adding red isn’t really an option for green white in the current meta that means this card is practically useless. Which means it is a crappy rare, one you don’t want to open in a pack. Which means it would be just fine at uncommon instead of rare, which, was the Alex’s initial argument.

  • Kahai

    DINO BEAR!

  • Oscar

Consider this: not only was the dinosaur creatre type in alpha, the enrage mechanic was as well! See: Fungusaur. This card reminds me heavily of it.

    • Shagoth

Also Fungusaur has been re errata’d to a dino. Frankly that card is the only conceivable reason that Enrage is a mechanic because damaging dinos causing stuff to happen makes no sense.

      • Oscar

If you annoy them, they get angry.

        • Shagoth

          Angry enough to fart clones!

  • Tolle

Meh.. The number of ways to trigger his enrage ability so that he survives seems very small in these two colors. Definitely going to struggle in limited. He is likely to be just a bear, which isn’t bad but not what you want from your rare.

  • Shagoth

    Siegehorn Cub

  • Arcus Diabolus

This guy is stupid and excellent “kill or die” bait. Turn one, Forest. Turn 2 Plains, this. Turn 3, play a savage stomp, kill a thing, get 3 +1/+1 counters, swing for 5. If they block with basically anything you’d typically expect turn 3, you have a 7/7.
