    *Starts humming “I Will Survive”.*

This is premium removal in limited I would image. You don’t need the other half of the card at all.

  • Grant Jacobson

since this scales in damage as you hit your land drops this technically kills anything in the format that doesn’t have some built in shenanigans (i.e. hexproof, indestructible, …etc.). The second half is a very odd version of graveyard hate/anti-mill? seems decent sideboard material

    • Jonathan Reynolds

The second half is there so you can shuffle away the new gods. The first half kills, the second half prevents recursion. It also helps to prevent embalm and eternalize.

      • Marvin Sürig

uhhh. Nice. So basicly this card kills a new god and shuffle it in the lab. for jsut 5

  • Shagoth

This feels like it doesn’t do that much at all.

    • Jonathan Reynolds

The second half is very situational, but the first half seems like a fine creature burn spell. I would be happy to have this in limited.

      • DarthinvaderIX

2nd half hates dread wanderer, eternalize, and embalm, which are all on generally good cards

        • Marvin Sürig

It also hates on Delerium & some other things. Plus it protects your graveyard from the Scarab God.
And don’t forget that this is really strong in Limited.

  • Jonathan Reynolds

I’m pleasantly surprised the first half isn’t a sorcery.

    • Grant Jacobson

better for delirium? (also a reminder for people who are confused by aftermath: Struggle//survive is a 5cmc red green instant sorcery, Struggle is a 3 cmc red instant, and Survive is a 2cmc green sorcery)

      • MTG fan

Better against delirium! This shuffles each player’s graveyard into their library. So, you can turn off delirium with Survive and probably kill their greatest creature with struggle!

  • Blahblahblahbla

Hmm.. this isn’t the worst in Wort the Raidmother EDH.. I sometimes wouldn’t mind shuffling my spells into my library after they eat some counters.

  • Arcus Diabolus

Pretty good in RG ramp, I’d say.

  • Bige Boiy

the return of “terminate” in limited

  • MotokoBibliophobe

Given skred this had no reason not to be 1R

  • Jalais

If there does end up being a mill deck in standard Survive would be pretty good. Force them to run GY hate as well at least.
