Temple of Deceit enters the battlefield tapped.

When Temple of Deceit enters the battlefield, scry 1.

Tap Symbol: Add Blue Mana or Red Mana to your mana pool.

Not sure how I feel about 3 enemy and 2 allied ones in the set. But I guess its the 5 Gatecrash guilds. Nice to be able to replace my drowned catacombs though.

    • Red

      Good for standard, I guess.

That enters the tapped clause just makes me want to stay mono.

      • Zombie

You can play mono color, I’ll just be over here, getting free Scry in Jund.

        • Shadow921

i would love these if they met a criteria and entered untaped that would make them worth the rarity but besides that i might play 2 in a gruul aggro deck maybe 3 but never first turn. but i can see it in jund which tends to be a slower deck but still really good and gets the removal quicker

          • Zombie

            It’s free card filtering.

I’m probably going to be play at least 3, if not 4, Temples of Abandon. They fill two colors I need and can potentially help my deck from bricking.

  • THANK YOU TANK YOU THANK YOU XD! This is gonna be fun!!!!

  • Now just don’t sky rocket above 10$ please. . . This set is looking like a high $$ set so many $20+ cards

    • MordecaiAliVanAllenOShea

These won’t be big money cards. The enter the battlefield tapped clause will cause most people to go for the Ravnica lands. These should not have been rares, but uncommons.

      • Shadow921

yeah uncommon should have been the highest they should have put them

        • Sadly star city has them at 6-7$ These are $2 maybe $4 at best

          • Shadow921

yeah dont know why star city is doing that

          • troll and toad did as well

      • Zombie

They made them rares for Limited.

        • Shadow921

because wizards knows everyone likes a rare land ( besides shock lands ) instead of a possible bomb or semi good in only limited rare

          • Zombie

Would you rather have people playing 2 of these in almost every Limited deck like Vivid Lands?

          • Shadow921

no but seriously at every game store that ive played at everyone hates pulling a rare land in limited but prize packs if these accualy see play in standard everyones gonna love it. they still dont want to see it in limited packs and if it happens to be that they are drafting almost no one will take them unless they are going to scry their entire deck to know the order of cards or if its good enough to make it in to a top 8 deck at a major event and shoot up in price.

now im not saying thats not possible but im saying that the stores i go to will not be playing or drafting them.

to recap everything i said in this post is about the mtg stores i go to, im not going to assume anything about the store(s) that anyone else goes to

      • CodyGozRawr

I agree, they should definitely have been uncommons. to make them rares, they should’ve added something like, if your devotion to (for this one) U or B is more than 2 or 3 it comes into play untapped.

  • Dimitrije Simic

would it of made sense if it entered the battlefield untapped unless you control a swamp and island?

  • Argentumdens

These remind me in a way of the Scar’s Fastlands, but more Slowlands. Think of it this way, uncounterable filter of the top card of your library for when your digging for that answer, allowing aggro to keep lower land count hands so they can easier search for land on top of your library. Are these a 4 of in a deck? No. But one or two for emergencies is not such a bad idea.

  • Kad

Boo Hoo, all you naya agro players don’t have as many untapped dual lands. BIG WOOP. Now I can finally relish the fact that many of you will start losing *starts evil laughing*
