    I really wish these starter deck rares said “a planeswalker with the XXX type” instead of the actual name so they could be used to tutor any of that character’s cards. I think that would make them a ton better without making them too strong

      Exactly what I was thinking. It would be such a cool opportunity to make use of the planeswalker subtype.
      And it would even be a nice upside for new players that buy these deck and get their hands on one of the more powerful iterations of “their walker”.

      That’s unfortunately the crux of it, though: Wizards intensively doesn’t word them like that, since that adds the chance of competitive players buying those decks (out) if it ends up being good enough, or being part of a DTB.

      It’s still a shame, though.

    this isnt actually that bad, master of metal might not be the best card but it’s still playble. In <$100 builds this might see play in edh.
