this is the like the the most “mono green commander” card i have seen in a while.

    • Nharzhool

Mono? This mofo is going to play nicely with Samut.

      • jochen

        anything running green really

        • Nharzhool

Is what I was getting at, yeah.

  • Friedrich

modern jund: Pay 4 search Scavenging Ooze, Dark Confidant, Tarmogoyf. I like it.

    • NC

You can only get two if you pay two into x, but it’s still pretty flexible.

      • Friedrich

Oh did not read the first sentence, still that is one hell of a flexible card in the right (commander-)deck and can get you at least half a dozen combos.

  • Ryū

Finally, a new reliable method to tutor up my one Llanowar Elf.

  • Jacob Kodicovic

I’ve alwayd wanted to draw all my mana dorks. Also Hydras.

  • Jonathan Reynolds

Hmm… 4 CMC: grab Sage of Hours and either Plaxmanta or Snapcaster for protection. Sounds like this could fit nicely into Ezuri, Claw of Progress.

  • Writerofthings

I wonder if CoCo could use this?

  • Ankulay Poulay

looks like a mythic… please tell me it’s not a mythic.

  • Happy The Cat

mmm… 6 fetches all the titans at once.
with room left for even more shenanigans.
over X=1 there is no really “bad” options, four mana fetch two two drops is great, five effectively does what CoCo should (edit: if it wasn’t broke, clarifying to prevent confusion) do for one more but confirms you get better creatures, and six or above will give you a massive board state as long as you dont miss.

    • eltratzo

look where you put those creatures. this has uses but its still just a tutor for creatures to hand.

      • Happy The Cat

but you get to tutor all the things…ALL THE THINGS! this is what a green reload should look like, not massive amounts of cards based on board, but fetching the just a bunch of threats at once.

    • jaya

What crappy deck even runs 6 titans, your talking way too casual…

      • Shagoth

A deck that wants to be casual.

  • Lord Reptile

Rhonas’s collection? There is still hope for new hippos and crocodiles after all.

  • Daniel Kaine Allen

This definitely requires being somewhat built around. Would work well though in elves or something of the sort, but honestly not sure it’s worth being mythic

    • MTG420

I hear this a lot. What constitutes being mythic?

      • Jacob Kodicovic

Most people think raw power level (e.g. Snapcaster Mage) but I believe it’s also frequency in Limited. Imagine how disappointed players would be if they opened this in an average limited deck, or how excited they would be if they had a bunch of good three or four drops in their deck. Build-around potential also is a major factor. That’s why most alt-win conditions (a.k.a. stuff that sucks in limited) are at a higher rarity.

TL;DR: Limited potential and power level constitute a Mythic.

        • MTG420

You’re on the money for what makes a mythic. This being Mythic means it will very rarely be opened in Limited, mitigating the disappointment for limited play. Imagine if this was rare and you saw it every draft? Worse? IMO it might be underrated for Limited considering the slowness of the format overall. Good late game for when your opponent has used most of their removal already. I’m never sad to pass a mythic over a good uncommon as well.

  • jaya

Not what im looking for, looks pretty bad in all my decks tbh…Too many restrains. There might be a 3-4cmc creatures combo that im missing tho…

  • Ultramegalord

Shame is double green. If you went zero in modern it fetches 6 ”0” drops 3 of which die on entering if you cast for 0 black green aristocrat featuring this and immortal servitude?

    • Ultramegalord

      Bah never mind. Rtfc………

    • Kal El

You don’t search for anything at zero reread the card

      • Ultramegalord

You didn’t read all the comments either ”bah never mind. Rtfc……”

  • Edward

The card design for this is weird. It wants to reward you for playing a lot of high CMC creatures but most decks don’t want that except for Eldrazi. Even in Commander this won’t get more than 5 usually. This card really should have said CMC x or less

    • Grant Jacobson

but maybe that’s why tho? as in this card is designed to push an entire new archetype into the meta… some sort of Jurassic Zoo deck?

  • Kevin Johnstone

4 mana… search for devoted druid and vizier… oooooooookay then… lets just give GW even more ways to combo

    • Robert FakeLastName

can’t find both. one is cmc 3 the other is 2.

      • Geoffrey Baron

Vizier of remedies costs 1W and devoted druid 1G

        • Robert FakeLastName

oh i was thinking of a different vizier derp.

    • Kal El

So spend a total of 8 to do what coco and chord does better? No thanks

      • Kal El

Oh and at sorcery speed you’ll have to wait a full turn to combo off. It’s not good at all

      • Mr.Mayhem631

But do they fetch it for sure?

        • Kal El

Way to slow. If you expect to still be alive with 8 mana on the regular your meta isn’t playing modern right.

          • Mr.Mayhem631

You don’t need 8 mana, you need 4.

          • Kal El

True but then you need 3 turns if you only have 4 mana. That sounds awful.

          • Mr.Mayhem631

            Fair enough.

  • Eventide

Here’s the “wild animals” plague, methinks.

  • Grant Jacobson

4 mana get any 2 hatebears. perhaps hatebears becomes a deck again?

  • kmk888

Obviously this is very powerful on x=2 for the Devoted Druid combo. However I’m also interested in the best stack for x=3. Any ideas? It would be easy to say something generic like Eternal Witness, Kitchen Finks, Tireless Tracker. Is there also an infinite combo?

  • Happy The Cat

but…the menagerie is for guests only…

  • Kal El

Not good to be honest. Everyone raves about vizier druid but coco and chord do it so much better. This is slow and you don’t put them on the field so you have to cast the cards you tutored. 8 mana to fetch vizier and druid then cast and hope they don’t kill them in their turn.. Lol this is awful and it’s a waste of a mythic slot.

    • Aleczander117

You can’t guarantee a hit with coco with this you can. It’s just a value card.

      • Kal El

8 mana needed and a turn to wait and even use the infinite mana. Pass I’d rather coco into it and start using asap.

  • Lloydss

I can see this used in Elves deck in modern, tap archdruid for 5 mana and fetch for ezuri/archdruid and elvish champion then play them next turn to go off i’d use that instead of Lead the stampede anytime

  • jaya

I agree with that. Pretty obvious tho.
