• Edward

Not amazing but it is a start for zombies. Good in a limited zombie deck at least

    • Jay Kilian

Only playable in draft formats. Way better two drop zombies in every format.

      • Edward

I may play it in a Gisa and Geralf commander deck but that is just because it is cheap and mils. That would be the only constructed deck I could see it beeng played in

      • Joel

I think this will see play in block constructed too.

        • Edward

It probably won’t. We have screeching Skaab also and that has seen 0 play even though it has the same effect and cost

          • Mr.Mayhem631

That is a blue card which is not legal in SOI block constructed.

          • Edward

It is legal in standard. It was printed in Origins

          • Mr.Mayhem631

Ya, but we’re not talking about standard.

          • Edward

Oh i thought they were the same thing. My bad

          • NC

            Block constructed is dead.

          • Mr.Mayhem631

Okay, sure, but we still weren’t talking about standard.

        • Mr.Mayhem631

          Does Block Constructed see play?

  • Red

Gisa and Geralf story. I need this.

    • That Guy

They did a magic story on them some number of weeks ago in the form of letters sent between them. It was pretty good and funny too. You should go read it. I think it was called something to do with “games”.

  • Mr.Mayhem631

    It’s a card.

  • kmk888

    They’re toying with my emotions.

    • Edward

They are toying with all of our emotions. They need to give us a good zombie already. It doesn’t even need to be rare. We can get a good uncommon one.

    • Fred Weasley

I really hope they’re doing this on purpose to make us wait until next week when they give us what we want, Zombies!

  • Arcus Diabolus

Its pretty ok. Not bad, not great either. Just a zombie that can stick its slightly above average rear end in the way of stuff your 2/2s can’t block without dying and skulk.

  • Erik Wong

Screeching Skaab 5-8, will see play if “Dredge” is a viable standard deck.

  • Deadly Berry

Those bits of lore on Gisa/Geralf cards are such a pleasure.

  • Elijah Bones Stewart

Zombies and necromancers agree: easy access to brains is preferred.

  • Tragic

It’s sad that this is the culmination of our hopes for a good two drop zombie.
