    Wow. Its pretty sad to me that this card is almost better than Fathom Mage. Either way, the Simic are really awesome.

     the counters go on, the counters come off, yay lets draw cards! stoked about Simic right now, an di see this being a nice build around for B/U/G, or even U/G with rancors and strangleroot geist

    Im confused by his first ability.  The way im reading it is saying to me the creature has to enter the battlefield to get the additional counter.  So how does this benefit evolve since evolve doesnt put counters on creatures that enter the battlefield.

      Because they will enter the battlefield with an additional +1/+1 to their stats this WILL trigger an evolve elsewhere if it is of higher… you know. So if i have a creature with evolve sitting at lets say 1/1, and a Zameck Guildmage uses his ability; and then another 1/1 creature enters the battlefield but enters as a *2/2 instead because of the Guildmage’s first ability, win. Then you can simply rinse and repeat for *infinite* drawing.

      Well, because they enter bigger, then your creatures that are already on the battlefield have a higher chance of getting their evolve trigger. A 2/2 with evolve doesn’t get a +1/+1 counter on it if another 2/2 enters the battlefield, but if you use the guildmage ability, that 2/2 enters as a 3/3 essentially, and so, the former would get the evolve trigger.

    should have had it been a merfolk and like tap 3 and put a token of a 1/1 merfolk on to the battelfeild since Simics legendary is a merfolk and then master of the pearl trident but this is a good guild mage im going Dimir tho
