not as much cleavage as the last one. i am okay with this

  • J. Knox-Chinnery

They easily could’ve gotten rid of morph’s reminder text since this is a collector product. It would’ve been nice to actually get flavor text for Angel of Fury.

    • Derek Niles

I agree, especially since the original Akroma has flavor text (which always bothered me btw!)

  • Zombie

Terese Nielsen, you’ve done it again.

I want a lithograph or a print of this so badly. A playmat of it would be amazing.

  • Happy The Cat

I want that sword to be a card itself
legendary more powerful version of vengeance would be cool

    • Kameenook

Equip could give flying, trample, protection from white and from blue, as well as firebreathing. It would be similar to how they did Akroma’s Memorial.

      • Happy The Cat

no no that would be saying she gets all her powers from a sword that wouldn’t fit well
the trample and firebreathing could go over but not flying and the pros are on the edge
also creatures can’t be countered seems good but I don’t think an equipment really works with that

        • Jordan

Equipped creature becomes Akroma, Angel of Fury. This way she never dies, truly immortal, and she controls the power of the sword because she IS the sword.

    • well it is it just changes appearance with Akroma. its sword of vengeance.

  • Kameenook

Unlike the previous Akroma for this set, I think this art outdoes its predecessor.

    • The Hastener

lol what. This art is ridiculously stupid. It looks like something out of a creep’s Victoria Secret fanfiction.

      • Kameenook

I disagree, while the hips may be positioned in a strange way, the sword looks frickin’ deadly, and I also wasn’t much of a fan of the original angel of fury art.

        • The Hastener

The sword is fantastic, what I immensely disapprove of is her Shakira hips and running her hands through her hair like a fashion strip show. It’s absolutely cringeworthy.

          • lonewolf

except she doesn’t run her hand thru hairs, ur perspective abilities sucks lol also nothing wrong with hips like that but guess that’s matter of taste :P

          • The Hastener

I’m going to ignore your terrible english, and instead ask you to please tell me where her right hand is. It looks pretty darn close to her head, separated only by her red hair…

          • The Hastener

Left* hand. That probably won’t come back to bite me.

          • Happy The Cat

my guess it that the sword is SUPER loud so she is covering her ear
also dude you can edit your comment, it’s right next to the downvote and reply

      • Melissa Juice

        This art is fantastic.

      • Happy The Cat

what Victoria’s Secret do you know? Cause I’d have to go to my metallurgy guy to get that much gold shaped. plus she flies so she can’t have too much armor on, that stuff is heavy as heck

        • The Hastener

Willful ignorance is super admirable, keep it up.

  • BobTheTitan

Is it just me or does this look similar to Basandra, battle seraph?

    • AlaAlba

Same artist, same art style, both red influenced angels. Not really surprising.

  • Sani

Sword of Arrogance and Ignorance Cost 3. Equipped creature gets +2/+2 and has protection from white and blue.
Whenever equipped creature deals combat damage to a player, you gain life equal to the amount of damage dealt to that player this turn, then scry 3. Equip cost 2.

  • Guy

So…has any one ever successfully morphed her?

    • David R Tuck

me once in a game of edh because I had her in a jeskai deck and was hoping to flicker her with dead eye but dead eye died to quickly. So I morphed her the hard way and got away with it.

  • Andy Dondes

    So cool

  • Derek Niles

I never understood why on earth they gave her morph? Like is it in some story I never read or something? I would have much rather had flavor text

    • Whelming

Ixidor created Akroma. He also created all the morphs. It makes a bunch of sense.

      • Derek Niles

Ah, see I didn’t know Ixidor created her…that makes much more sense now

      • Derek Niles

I need to go back and read her story. Happen to know which books/articles she’s covered in?

  • Jordan Orzolek

This + Restoration Angel = Nasty
