    Since angels are either made or manifest from white mana, Nicol Bolas either made them and thus they are completely under his control; or they are naturally occurring angels who willingly follow Bolas.

    • He couldn’t use any number of the black screw-with-people’s-minds spells to make them obey him? =P

        And i like the second option better, that they willingly chose to side with Bolas.

        well, yeah, but that costs like an extra one mana, actually yeah why is this also worse than Seraph of the Suns? shouldn’t their stuff be swapped? I mean Sephiroth got stronger when he came out as an evil angel, why did these guys get not only worse, but even better at dying after their master started blowing stuff up. feels like they should have been doing the whole sacrifice themselves to serve their master before he finished his evil plan.

      there was this guy in a game called Final Fantasy 7. ever since him angels have generally either not been wearing nearly as much armor as a guardian should be, or were edgy dudes.

      I mean, its not like any of the angels have been in central antagonist role. The closest to that was Avacyn, which was corrupted.

      And even then, people still think white = good.
