Didn’t I just see a desert like this?

    • Kitnz

Yes. Yes, you did. This is nice to have as well, though, as it does not require Desert support.

      • TomGalonska

And you don’t have to sac a land…

        • Aurore

If you’re at a point in the game where exiling the graveyards is needed, you probably can spare a land to get rid of.

      • Aurore

Neither did the other one. You could just sacrifice it to itself.

        • Kitnz

Ya I missed that aspect upon first read. The ability to sac it to itself makes that land amazing. I’m now onboard the Scavenging Grounds train :)

  • Kitnz

A worse-costed Relic? At least you get to Exile TARGET card, so the added expense isn’t entirely annoying.

    Crook of Progenitus

Frontier says thanks Wizards. Hate cards are needed if that format has any hope of going anywhere.

    • Dustin Stiner

It’s not going anywhere to begin with

  • TheAweDude

Would cantripping on the sac really make this that broken? It wouldn’t completely supplant Relic, but would make it an interesting choice.

    Dem pecs.

So, the cartouches do do more than just control the Anointed. I hope we get an explanation of exactly what they do.

Also, found a combination of their arts:

    • Mark Pilzer

wow. and thats the order you take the trials

      • Hedronal

        Yes, interconnected magical jewelry.

  • Liam Maiher

Strictly worse relic? No thank you

  • Vizzerdrix

Not quite relic but targeting a specific card isn’t bad but would defiantly take relic or scribbling claws or whatever the mirrodin card is. If it said draw a card I’d consider running it over relic for edh, 1 vs 2 mana isn’t that bad in edh
